Welcome to OathNet ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, services, APIs, or applications (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and OathNet regarding your use of the Services. Please read them carefully.
2. Service Description
OathNet provides open-source intelligence (OSINT) and cybersecurity services that allow users to search for and analyze publicly available information. Our Services include, but are not limited to, email lookups, username searches, IP information, and data breach notifications.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information obtained through our Services. The information provided is for informational purposes only.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the Services, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or objectionable purposes. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating others
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
- Using the Services to stalk, harass, or harm another individual
- Collecting or harvesting personal information about other users without their consent
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services or servers or networks connected to the Services
- Circumventing usage limitations or API rate limits
5. API Usage, Attribution, and Data Removal
Customers who purchase access to the OathNet API may integrate the API and OathNet-derived data into their own services, applications, platforms, or products, subject to these Terms.
API Usage
If you use our API, you agree to abide by our rate limits and other technical restrictions. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time. Excessive use or abuse of our API may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your access.
Customer Responsibility and End Users
API customers are responsible for all access to and use of the API through their accounts, credentials, integrations, applications, and services, including use by their owners, employees, contractors, agents, customers, and end users. API customers must safeguard their credentials, apply appropriate access controls, and promptly revoke access that is unauthorized, unlawful, or inconsistent with these Terms.
API customers must establish and enforce rules for their users that are consistent with these Terms and applicable law. They are responsible for providing required privacy notices, obtaining any required permissions or other lawful basis, monitoring for misuse, investigating suspected abuse, taking appropriate action against offending users, and promptly notifying OathNet of material misuse or unauthorized access.
API customers are solely responsible for how they integrate, process, store, display, disclose, and use OathNet-derived data, and for decisions or actions taken by them or their users based on that data. They must independently assess whether their use is lawful and appropriate and must not represent that OathNet directed, approved, or is responsible for the customer's or its users' conduct.
For purposes of these Terms, acts and omissions by persons using an API customer's account, credentials, integration, application, or service are treated as acts and omissions of the API customer to the extent they arise from matters within the customer's control. The API customer is responsible for resulting claims, losses, penalties, and third-party harm to the extent caused by its breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, negligence, or failure to prevent or respond reasonably to misuse. Nothing in these Terms transfers to an API customer any responsibility that applicable law requires OathNet to retain.
OathNet may suspend or terminate API access where an API customer or its users violate these Terms or applicable law.
Commercial Use
"Commercial Use" means using the OathNet API or OathNet-derived data on behalf of a business, for internal business operations, or in connection with a product or service intended to generate revenue or another commercial benefit, including paid, subscription, bundled, advertising-supported, or customer-facing services.
Commercial Use is permitted only through an active paid API plan or a separate written agreement that permits that use. Unless OathNet gives prior written permission, API customers must not resell, sublicense, redistribute, share access to, or provide third parties with direct access to the OathNet API, API credentials, bulk API responses, exports, or an OathNet-derived database. API customers may display individual results to authorized users of their own service as permitted by their plan and these Terms.
Data Attribution
Where OathNet-derived data is displayed or returned through a third-party service, OathNet must be clearly identified as the source of that data at the point where the data is displayed or returned. A general provider list, attribution page, footer, or attribution elsewhere on the service is not sufficient. For example: Source: OathNet.
In addition to attribution beside the relevant result, every service making Commercial Use of the API must clearly identify OathNet as a data source on its homepage or on a dedicated About, Data Sources, Legal, or equivalent page that is readily accessible from the service's primary navigation or footer. A general source disclosure does not replace the required attribution beside the relevant result.
API customers must not use OathNet's name, branding, or attribution in a way that falsely suggests that OathNet sponsors, endorses, certifies, operates, or is formally partnered with the customer or its service. Use of OathNet logos requires prior written permission.
Confidentiality and Public Communications
API customers may truthfully identify OathNet as their data source and may share honest statements about their experience with OathNet. They must not publish, disclose, or make available API keys, access tokens, account credentials, non-public API documentation or technical information, security vulnerabilities or bypass methods in a manner reasonably likely to facilitate unauthorized access, custom commercial terms marked as confidential, or private or personal data except as expressly permitted by these Terms and applicable law.
API customers must promptly report exposed credentials, suspected unauthorized access, or security vulnerabilities through OathNet's contact form at https://oathnet.org/contact. Nothing in these Terms prohibits a truthful report to a regulator or law-enforcement authority, a disclosure required by law, or another communication that cannot lawfully be restricted.
Data Removal Requests
API customers must not automatically submit, forward, or generate removal requests to OathNet through their website, application, API, email system, or any other process. Automated, bulk, fraudulent, impersonated, and unverified requests are prohibited.
All removal requests concerning OathNet-derived data must be submitted through OathNet's official contact form at https://oathnet.org/contact. OathNet does not accept data removal requests by email.
API customers may direct an affected individual to OathNet's official contact form, but must not claim that a removal request submitted through the customer's service has also been submitted to OathNet. The affected individual must use OathNet's contact form and complete OathNet's required identity verification.
Where applicable law permits an authorized representative to act for an affected individual, the representative must use OathNet's official contact form and provide any proof of identity, authorization, or direct confirmation reasonably required by OathNet.
API customers remain responsible for responding to valid requests concerning copies of OathNet-derived data stored, displayed, indexed, or otherwise processed by their own service. Removal from OathNet does not automatically remove copies controlled by an API customer or satisfy that customer's independent legal obligations.
Failure to comply with these attribution or data-removal requirements may result in suspension or termination of API access.
OathNet may immediately suspend API access where it reasonably believes a violation creates a security, privacy, legal, fraud, or abuse risk. Other violations may result in a request to correct the violation, suspension, or termination, depending on their nature and severity.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy, available at the privacy page, describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our Services. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services and all content, features, and functionality thereof, including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by OathNet, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Services or any content, features, or functionality thereof.
8. Public Telemetry License
OathNet may publish aggregate, non-user-specific telemetry about the platform, including indexed record counts, recent ingestion totals, and trusted user counts. This public telemetry is provided for informational, search, and citation purposes only.
You may reference this public telemetry with attribution to OathNet and a link to https://oathnet.org. This permission does not grant access to, redistribution rights for, or a license to underlying breach records, stealer logs, customer data, private search results, API responses, exports, or other protected Services content.
9. Payments, Billing, and Refunds
Paid subscriptions, credits, and other purchased services are billed in advance according to the plan and billing interval you choose at checkout.
Card or bank payments may be refunded if you contact us within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be denied in cases of fraud, abuse, chargeback risk, or material use of the Services before the request is made.
If you request an upgrade within 14 calendar days of purchase, we may, in our sole discretion, issue a coupon or account credit reflecting some or all of the remaining value of your current plan so you only pay the difference for the upgraded plan. Upgrade adjustments are handled case by case and are not guaranteed.
Payments made with cryptocurrency are final. Due to blockchain network fees, payment processor charges, and conversion costs that are typically non-recoverable once a crypto invoice is issued or paid, we do not offer refunds for cryptocurrency payments except where required by applicable law.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing interval until canceled. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, network fees, currency conversion charges, or other third-party payment costs associated with your purchase unless we expressly state otherwise.
If you believe a charge was made in error, you must contact us first at [email protected] before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback so we can review the issue. Fraudulent or abusive disputes may result in suspension or termination of your account.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you reviewed this payment policy before checkout.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES ARE ACCURATE, ERROR-FREE, RELIABLE, OR WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICES ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL OATHNET, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES; (II) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES; (III) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICES; AND (IV) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OathNet, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Services; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (iv) any claim that your use of the Services caused damage to a third party.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Services.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Europe, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
